Creating DNS Records

Skip2 provides an intuitive user interface for managing DNS records for your domain. Changes are propagated immediately, but some resolvers that we cannot control may still cache old settings. Allow some time for caches to clear after making a change.

DNS Interface

On the DNS edit page, you will see a table of records. Each record has three action items at on the right side of the row:

  1. Enable/Disable Toggle: This allows you to temporarily disable a record and reenable it later.
  2. Edit: Enabled editing mode, converting the row to editable textboxes to allow you to make changes.
  3. Delete: Delete the DNS record.

Edit or Create New mode

Once you select edit or create a new DNS record, the record will enter Edit mode. This mode allows you to change the record type and edit it's values. Each record has two action items in Edit mode:

  1. Save: Saves your edit
  2. Cancel: Cancels edit and no change is made
